Perth Bowling Club

News 2022

Well, we saw the return to competitive bowling in 2022. Covid was still doing the rounds but overall, we managed to come through this.

This year provided a successful season for the club winning various competitions.

The club didn't do too well in our representation of the club in the Bowls Scotland competition only getting to the quarterfinals. But the tables were starting to turn when we entered the Perthshire Bowling Association Competition, With the club winning the PDL Second Division. P.B.A. competition Ross Haldane fell at the semi-final stage, our singles, & Senior Fours progressed through to the final. & unfortunately, both finished runners-up.

This is still a good achievement for the club. The P.D.L. Nomination competition saw our triples comprising - G. Turpie, B. Tavendale, & B. Kettles. Singles (Sandy Ross) & Senior Four (G. Barclay, D. Blues, M. Flood & R. Sinclair. )  getting to the finals. Unfortunately, our triples finished runners-up in the final. The Singles & Senior Fours went on the win the final well done to Sandy Ross, (Singles) & G. Barclay, D. Blues, M, Flood, & R. Sinclair. Perth Bowling Club also won the Senior Campbell Trophy, the Annandale Trophy, and the Three Counties Trophy. winners of the P.D.L. Centenary Shield.

So overall a very good year for the club and a busy time for all members who continue to support the club.
